The planets placed in the horoscope give results only during their time period or Mahadasha. Results of the Mahadasha depend upon the placement of the planets, degree of the planets, the sign in which it is placed, aspects from malefic and benefit planets and the position of the planet from the Moon sign. Most important of these factors is the position from the Moon sign and the house in which the planet is placed.
Result of the Mahadasha of the planet Sun:-
Mahadasha of Sun lasts for six years. In the six years the native can hope to get interested in politics and rise to a place of authority. The native can get promoted to higher places at the place of work and get great benefits from the government authority. There can be certain opportunities to get government jobs. Native will lay great emphasis on business administration, education and improving one’s leadership qualities. A male child could be born at this time. If Sun is placed in the fourth house the native can hope to flourish in his native land. If Sun is placed in the fifth house the native is likely to take to play an important role in the lives of his children, in the field of art or in politics. Placement of Sun in the seventh house can indicate improvement in the lives through the efforts of spouse or a business partner. Sun placed in the 12th house can indicate a person playing an active role in foreign affairs, in foreign land or in spiritual matters. In the 10th house Sun can indicate that the native may have to take responsibility to bring organisation and structural changes in the Corporate or a government sector.
If Sun is weak that is if it is placed in Libra which is its sign of debilitation can mean that the native will be forced to work through others or will have to work with others in order to raise his status in life. This may not be particularly bad as in present times most of the jobs require teamwork. If Sun is placed in Aries which is its sign of exaltation, the native is capable of handling his affairs himself.

However, the native will have two face emotional ups and downs and mood swings at this time.
