The best thing about life is it flows like a river. Whenever we get stuck – in a routine, a situation – know that we are not flowing with life; somewhere we have created or hit upon a blockade. Mostly when we feel stuck inside us, life mirrors that outside of us. This stuckness usually happens when we are taking life too seriously. It weighs us down until we find we are at the rock bottom.
In moments when you are down and out, with no faith or energy left to get up again, take a rest. This is the time when you look at your life from a very different angle because at that point there is nowhere else to go but up. You need to slow down and sometimes stop for a while to know where you are and where you are heading. Is that the place you wanted to go?
When you hit a low, it is a checkpoint for you to refuel yourself, recalibrate your directions and reassess your life path. Wouldn’t that be easy if we could do all this while we were on the journey so we wouldn’t have to face a breakdown or a meltdown?
Learn to slow down, take frequent breaks, life is not a race, it’s a journey because in the end what matters most is whether you enjoyed the journey or not. Don’t get too worked up about achieving life goals. They won’t matter when you are old and dying. What would matter the most is whether you lived fully? Did you heart beat to the sound of nature? Did you mind wonder at the mysteries of the universe? Did you stop and smell the flowers? Enjoy the journey more than the destination :)
